Cult director Jess Franco (VAMPYROS LESBOS, LOVE LETTERS OF A PORTUGUESE NUN) has been the prolific force behind many of the better B-movie efforts to be released since the early 60s. During this time, he garnered the supreme honor, along with Luis Bunuel, of being deemed one of the most dangerous filmmakers by the Catholic Church. This 2002 sequel to 1996s KILLER BARBYS is characterized by Franco's recent adoption of the digital video medium, which he handles with aplomb. The story follows real-life rock band the Killer Barbys as they rehearse for their upcoming tour, when chaos is unleashed with the arrival of Irina (Franco's wife, Lina Romay), a director of the Transylvania tourism office. She has brought with her the corpse of Count Dracula, which Barbys frontwoman Silvia Superstar adopts as the subject of her new song, Wake Up. The vampire awakens--seduced by Silvia's imperative--and wreaks fear and destruction upon Silvia and everyone in her life, while Irina calls upon vampire hunter Dr. Seward and his anxious assistant Albinus to end the Count's reign of terror.DVD Features:Region 1Keep CaseFull Frame - 1.33
